On the last Friday of most months I invest about four hours planning the next month in some detail. But more I firstly block out whole days for marketing planning and product development work. Typically that’s around 8 – 12 days per month and that’s all proactive work. These are the “big rocks” that Steven Covey spoke about and everything else has to fit around these days.

There are many lessons to be learned from that horrifying day.
It seems to me that Loughner’s antisocial behaviors piled up like a tower of blocks until it toppled into mayhem, and we couldn’t ignore it any longer. It seems to me human nature works in such a way that we’re inclined to ignore what we fear until something happens that smacks us in the face with it. Just think of the times in your life when you ignored something you needed to deal with until it created some chaos for you. There have been times like that in my life.
I’m not saying that someone should have done something. I’m not blaming anybody. In my perception,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it was no accident that Loughner wasn’t discovered. There was plenty of opportunity, but no one saw it. The only reason for this that makes sense is that there were lessons to be learned. I’m sure we all wish the price hadn’t been so high.

He was confronted by his father that morning about the black bag. Why did his father not pursue the issue when Loughner brushed him off? He was stopped for a traffic violation that morning. If you decide the time has come to take off your jumper it is important first to explore the other ways that you might be able to keep yourself warm. However, at some point you will have to take the itchy jumper off and be cold for a period whilst you try out some other ways of keeping warm. This may feel more uncomfortable in the short term, but in the longer term it will allow you to keep warm in an itch-free way.
The foundation of resolving your problem is being honest with yourself,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], accepting that it is only you who can make this choice and only you who can initiate the action that follows on from this choice. This is not to say that the choice is an easy one or that the action won't be at times challenging and that you will not need support to follow it through, but accepting responsibility for what happens to you and realising that it is only you who can choose the path you take is pivotal to moving forward.
